Sales Engineer

Professional with several years of experience in selling technical products and solutions in a business to business environment sales

FUNCTION

Elytra is looking for a Sales Engineer to become a key member of its organisation. Together with the Sales and Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the introduction of the Elytra products in the customer’s applications and will interact closely with the Manufacturing and Logistics Manager as well as with different technology providers. You are based in Geel but inherent to your function you can expect to travel frequently.

TASKS

  • Maintain existing commercial contacts with a wide range of customers
  • Develop new business opportunities for Elytra’s products and solutions
  • Prepare commercial offers
  • Negotiate sales transactions and longer term sales agreements
  • Assist (potential) customers in implementing the Elytra products in their applications through coengineering projects and the formulation of effective solutions
  • Follow competitive developments in the different market segments addressed by the company
    Follow up invoicing and collection
  • Assist with the compilation of technical-commercial materials to support the sales effort
  • Act as an ambassador of Elytra at industry events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have at least a technical Bachelor’s degree
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a technical sales function, preferentially materials or even steel oriented
  • You combine a technical orientation with excellent communication and people skills
  • You are prepared to travel abroad depending on the needs of your job
  • Your English is excellent, your French is good. The knowledge of German is an important asset.
