Who we are

Elytra nv was originally established in 2006 as a spin-off company of OCAS, a market-oriented research centre for steel applications. Belgium-based OCAS is itself a joint venture between the region of Flanders and ArcelorMittal, the world's largest steel group.

Next to OCAS, a number of reputable financial investors is supporting Elytra's development and future growth.

Elytra specialises in a wide range of cost-effective, lightweight sandwich panel solutions. Today's product range consists of a variety of steel and fiber reinforced thermoplastic skin materials, combined with honeycomb, solid and foam structured polymer core, to form a structural sandwich.

Since April 2008, Elytra headquarters and production facilities are based in Geel, Belgium (in the eastern part of the province of Antwerp).
