Customer value drivers: Weight, impact and scratch resistance
Accomplishment:
Elytra introduced a new panel for the construction of flight cases and high end packaging applications based on its Elylite Curv technology. The panel itself weighs around 2.7 kg/mē compared to 6.5 kg/mē (for a thickness of 10mm). Depending on the design and the size of the case, a reduction on panel weight of 58% or between 30 and 40% reduction of the total case weight is achieved. Using Curv material further guarantees excellent impact and scratch resistance and allows the use of different color finishing.
