Accomplishment:
Based on it's Elylite Stainless technology Elytra has developed a new sliding door for commercial grade refrigerators. The Elytra design allows the reduction of the use (and thus the cost!) of stainless steel by 40%, while maintaining similar overall stiffness. The new design eliminates the need for welding, thus further reducing the cost of the door. The Elytra solution results in a weight savings of 32% versus the original design.
